Columbus is another excellent addition, and a little surprising. I had been expecting them to make a move, and then on Feb 1st they used a graphic for season ticket sales that said they would in NPSL. But this is a great move.
We got some insider information that we would have a club local to Dothan joining the division this year, and after some digging, we found out it would be Columbus about two weeks ago. But seeing the season ticket graphic really threw us off while doing research.
We’re extremely excited to have them join. Great team, close road trip for Dothan, and the foundation for a solid rivalry.
Should be a great rival for sure. Notably, the NPSL conference down that was still has Pensacola and New Orleans that are kind of hung out to dry if they try to stay. Pensacola has always had a relationship with GCPL, so I've thought they might jump their first team back that way. Either way, Dothan should try to get them in for a game, like they did with some of the other friendlies last year
I personally would love to see Pensacola jump to USL2. However, they’ve stated that part of the reason they’re in their current league was because of frequent travel to Atlanta, which would difficult, considering half of the South Central is in the Metro Atlanta area. But a friendly would be really nice.

Sadly, I feel like 'Cola is far more likely to jump to TLFC than USL2. As for the Jesters, they seem like they'll go down with the ship that is NPSL.
If I were either of them I'd move to League for Clubs now, and see how everything plays out. At least the travel will be much easier to manage.
